Mental health challenges indirectly affect everyone at some time through a family member, friend or colleague. Every now and again, people will directly experience mental health challenges in their lives. For some people, these challenges will be short term but, for others, they may be longer term. Current statistics state that 1 in 5 Canadians will experience some challenge with their mental health in any given year.
Mental health challenges can mean dealing with stress in your life, whether that comes from work, a difficult relationship or other everyday struggles. Even though it is important for everyone to take care of their mental health, many people feel uncomfortable or embarrassed to speak about their challenges.
Our team is here to help you with those challenges. This is a safe place where you can talk about your concerns, work on your goals and make positive changes in your life. We strive to provide a supportive, understanding and non-judgmental place for you to talk about your life struggles and concerns and to help you achieve and maintain wellness – however that might look for you.
Our counselling team has been trained in a variety of approaches and we will try to match you with the best counsellor for your needs.
