The ID Bank was created with the intention of ensuring all members of the community have a safe place to store their identification. Unfortunately, for individuals who are unhoused, living in congregate living or precariously housed, keeping these essential ID documents safe is difficult. Grand River Community Health Centre (GRCHC) was able to obtain a City of Brantford Operational Grant to purchase proper storage in which these documents are stored.
The ID Bank can be accessed at the Outreach Station by the back entrance to the CHC. It can be accessed between 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Friday apart from holidays.
Who is eligible for the ID Bank?
- Individuals who are unhoused, living in shelter, living in precarious housing.
What ID can I store?
- Birth Certificate
- Health Card
- Ontario Photo Card
